Our Teams
Capilano Senior Men's Rugby
The Capilano Senior Men’s Rugby Teams compete in three divisions within the BC Rugby Union. The Premier Men and Premier Reserve Men travel to games within the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Seattle. The 3rd Division Men travel to games within the Lower Mainland and BC Interior.
Season: September, culminating in Provincial Club Finals in May
Training Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 7:30pm
Game Days: Saturdays
Premier Men
The Premier Men compete in the BC Men’s Premier League, the top amateur club rugby competition in North America. The Capilano Premier Team are three-time Rounsefell Cup Champions (‘04, ‘05, ‘12) with many players representing BC and Canada at the Senior level in both XV’s and 7’s. Players wanting to compete for the Premier team are expected to have a high-level of commitment and dedication.
Premier Reserve Men
The Premier Reserve Men compete in the BC Men’s Premier Reserve League. The Premier Reserve team competes in parallel with the Premier team in a doubleheader format. The team serves as a development pathway for aspiring players to move up to the Premier Level.
3rd Division Men
The 3rd Division Men compete in the BC Men’s 3rd Division League. The 3rd Division Men are often a mix of young talent, and experienced veterans who previously competed for the club’s top two sides. The 3rd Division Men are open to players of all skill levels and experience.
Capilano Senior Women's Rugby
The Capilano Senior Women’s Rugby has two teams that compete in two divisions within the BC Rugby Union consisting of competitions throughout the Island, Lower Mainland and Interior.
Season: September, culminating in the Provincial Club Finals in May. Training Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 6:00pm.
Premier Women
The Capilano Premier Women’s team competes in the BC Women’s Tier A Mainland League in the fall and the Premier League, in the spring. The Premier League is the highest level of club rugby competition in the province. The Capilano Women have won the provincial title three times since its inception in 1998 and was the first women’s team to win the national title in 2019. Players wanting to compete for the premier team are expected to have a high-level of commitment and dedication.

2nd Division Women
The Capilano 2nd Division women compete in the BC Women’s Tier B Mainland League in the fall and the 2nd Division League in the spring. The Capilano 2nd Div has won the provincial title two times. The 2nd Division Women are often a mix of young or new talent, players looking to develop their skills and experienced veterans who previously competed for the club’s top sides. The 2nd Division is open to players of all skill levels and experience.
