BC Rugby Hall of Fame

The BC Rugby Hall of Fame event is on Friday June 23, 2023. You can buy tickets and find more information on the event by clicking here.

There will be two other awards presented on the evening. BC Rugby is pleased to announce the 2023 recipients of the Joan Spray and Jack Patterson Awards, celebrated for their continued dedication to the Rugby community. Congratulations to:

• Joan Spray Award Recipient: Darcy Patterson (Capilano RFC, UBC Thunderbirds)
• Jack Patterson Award Recipient: Mark Slay (Capilano RFC)

The entire Capilano Rugby Club would like to congratulate Darcy and Mark on these well deserved awards!! Our club is very lucky to have both Darcy and Mark as long time members. They have both had a very positive impact on our sport and within our club. Both have contributed many volunteer hours and are great role models for our club members to look up to.

We hope to see many Capilano RFC members at the Hall of Fame event to support the contributions made to our club and to our sport by Darcy and Mark.

BC Bears Roster (Men's 15s)

The BC Bears have named its roster for the 2023 Coast to Coast Cup in Halifax. 26 players were selected for the BC Bears. Current Capilano RFC players Johnny Franklin and Mike Moloney have both been named to the roster. Current UBC players from the North Shore Demetri Patterson, Lenny Bonduou, and Beaudry Leman have also been named to the roster. Congratulations to all the players selected to the BC Bears. Best of luck next week!
