High School Rugby Day - Saturday April 13, 2024

Join the Capilano Rugby Club on Saturday April 13, 2024 for High School Rugby Day!!

The Capilano Rugby Club prides itself on being a community rugby club that is dedicated to growing the game of rugby. Our club is committed to supporting grassroots rugby and this includes providing resources to Mini/Youth club rugby as well as High School Rugby on the North Shore. We value the strong relationships we have with boys and girls high school rugby programs on the North Shore.

This relationship includes:
- Capilano RFC members coaching North Shore High School Rugby programs
- Many current Capilano RFC senior players having developed in North Shore High School rugby programs
- Many current North Shore High School Rugby players also being members of the Capilano RFC Youth program

Our club hopes to show current high school players what a future in rugby can look like. With that, we are again hosting High School Rugby Day this Saturday at Klahanie Park. By moving high school games to Saturday, from their regular weekday afternoon timeslots, we hope to provide a positive rugby experience mixed in with a club rugby Saturday. This includes playing on the Bob Spray Field at Klahanie Park, having club supporters watching the high school games, on site food truck and the Rugby Shop Merchandise Tent, and hosting a traditional post match in the clubhouse with a famous Jim Leith meal!

Kickoff times for each game can be found in the graphic above. Any updates to the schedule below or kickoff times will be sent out on the club email this week. All current high school coachers and current high school players will be free at the gate to attend. Share the event details and invite others to attend.
