Hello North Shore Rugby Parents,

As we gear up for the upcoming club rugby season and prepare the high school season, our coaching staff and club leadership have partnered with Level 10 Fitness and The Rugby Factory to launch a unified Athletic Development Program for our junior athletes at both club and high school levels (U14, U16, U18, U23). It is a comprehensive strength and conditioning and contact confidence program that is fully integrated into the Capilano youth season and is meant for in-season performance and safety while also preparing for the high school season (Dates: September 16 - December 16).

Capilano RFC coaches are fully on board with this initiative because we know that rugby requires more than just on field practice—it requires resilient, strong, and physically prepared athletes.

To kick things off, we are inviting all players and parents to a FREE trial session and program presentation at Level 10 Fitness on September 9th @ 5:00 pm. Location: 890 Harbourside Dr #140, North Vancouver, BC V7P 3T7.

What The Program Delivers:
This fall, our athletes will participate in a weekly "Lift then Train" Wednesday block directly before or after regular pitch sessions—maximizing their development without adding an extra day of commuting for parents:

45-Min Strength & Power Block: Directed by lead strength and conditioning coach Jacob Bossi focusing on injury resilience, strength and explosiveness.

30-Min Technical Contact Block: Led by Director of Rugby Curry Hitchborn, utilizing targeted wrestling mechanics and body positioning to teach safe, dominant contact entry and protect against concussions and direct injuries.

Weekly Remote Tracking: Every athlete gets access to the TeamBuildr app to monitor their training volume, recovery, and physical readiness across the season. The TeamBuildr will include 3 progressive strength sessions per week (including the in person training session), 2 speed and conditioning sessions and 4 recovery and care sessions.

Why Attend the Free Session?

For the Players: A fun, high-energy 45-minute movement and contact intro with their teammates to get primed for the season.

For the Parents: A brief 10-minute overview on the gym floor where you can see the facility, meet the strength and sport staff, and ask any questions about safety, programming and logistics.

Fall Program & Preferred Club Rate
Through our partnership, Level 10 is offering an exclusive club rate of $20 per session for the September–December training block. Athletes will have 14 sessions meaning the total investment of the program is $300. To maintain high coaching quality and lock in this rate, group sizes are strictly structured. Note payment instructions will be provided after the introduction session on September 9th @ 5pm to enrol in the program.

Training times:

5:00pm to 6:15pm = U14/U16/U18 Girls and Boys

6:30pm to 8:00pm = U23 Men
