Sad News - Roger Hatch

With a heavy heart, the Capilano Rugby Club shares that Roger Hatch passed away late Friday evening on August 15, 2025. The entire Capilano RFC family sends heartfelt condolences to the Hatch Family. Roger spent a large part of his life at our club as a player, coach and alumni member. Roger will forever be a Capilano RFC Honorary Life Member. Truly a lifelong Capilano!

Roger Hatch was also a longtime staff member and rugby coach at Collingwood. The annual Collingwood vs Rockridge boys high school match will forever be known as the Hatch Shield. CLICK HERE to view more details on the Hatch Shield.

Details on a celebration of life will be shared once available. Rest easy Roger, you will be greatly missed at Klahanie Park.
